Following our initial consultation events, a number of key updates have been made to the scheme. This is in response to feedback from City of Edinburgh Council and other consultees, as well as an a review of the development’s context and the needs and requirements of occupiers.

The revised application features the following key updates:

  • An overall reduction in proposed parking spaces, representing a 30% reduction in total spaces.
  • Omission of the undercroft car parks, with majority of parking contained within high-quality multi-storey car park, enhancing step-free access across the site.
  • Repositioning of the office buildings and car park by 5m to the east, improving the street frontage and landscape proposals along Lochside Court, allowing retention of existing trees, and providing more generous public realm.
  • Relocation of the Mobility Hub to the north east corner of the site, improving connectivity to the future West Edinburgh Cycle Link.
  • Cycle storage relocated to secure, external stores near to building entrances and shower/changing facilities, improving connectivity to active travel on site.
  • Updated timelines for construction phases, allowing permeability, connections and amenities for the wider community to be delivered earlier.
